Oral minoxidil was FDA-approved for treatment of hypertension in 1979. Off-label low-dose oral minoxidil (≤5-mg/day) has been studied for AGA treatment with growing public interest following its coverage in lay media. Because there are limited data on blood pressure (BP) changes in patients taking low-dose oral minoxidil for AGA, we sought to examine for potential BP changes in AGA patients by age and sex.
